We present a case of Acute Infero-lateral wall Myocardial Infarction presented to us with a window period of more than 12 hours.
Agra Heart Centre staff and doctors promptly did an ECG, started cardiac monitoring, took the vitals. Patient had severe chest pain since 12 hours and had traveled from outside the city to get the best treatment possible. Patient relatives were explained about the seriousness of the large heart attack and the need for angiography and angioplasty after CAG.
Relatives understood the seriousness and danger to life to the patient if left untreated. Patient was promptly taken in for CAG- that revealed a 100% blocked Major OM artery. Relatives were shown the images and explained about need for opening the artery and putting a stent if possible.
Relatives were understanding, and patient was immediately taken up for Primary PTCA+ Stenting to Major OM. Patient became chest free after stenting and opening of the artery and was discharged after 48 hours of close observation.
Artery was completely opened up and a stent was put in as one can see, in the final results also.
