Mosquito borne illnesses are on the rise this rainy season- especially Dengue, Malaria, Chikungunya
Flooding may even cause cases of Leptospirosis to be on the rise.
Agra Heart Center with excellent Physicians and Cardiologists and experts in medicine and cardiology urge the citizens of Agra to remain vigilant and do everything possible to not let these problems affect you.
Here are some of the things that you can do to prevent getting Dengue, Malaria, Chikungunya-
1. Wear full sleeves clothes – cover body parts. Less body part exposure will lead to less space for the mosquito to bite you.
2. Use mosquito repellant creams when going out, especially on your arms, and legs.
3. Use Mosquito nets at night and make sure they do not have holes in them.
4. Use mosquito killing sprays every 3rd-5th day. Make sure that children or asthmatic or people who have lung problems or Heart problems are not in the vicinity of the spray for atleast 3 hours after the spray is done. Do not remain in the room of the spray yourself.
5. Avoid collection of water anywhere. Mosquitoes breed in stagnant water collection. Put some oil over these water fills or dry them out or wipe them out.
6. If you have fever or loss in appetite, or have jaundice – seek treatment early.
Do not be in a hurry to transfuse platelets – let experienced doctors handle your condition.
